Kids get their detective badges

Detective Tom Famolare's daughter, Kelly Barlow teaches 2nd grade at Bayshore Elementary School in Anchorage, Alaska.
After reading a story about a school safety officer and his police dog partner to her students, her dad, Tom,  sent BPDBS gold shield pins to Alaska to share with the class. Kelly gave each student a pin and they were thrilled to put them on their shirts.

She reports that several of the kids still wear their pins each day to school weeks later.
